Find answers to common questions about Video2Recipe
Video2Recipe uses advanced AI technology to convert cooking videos into organized recipes in three simple steps:
- 1. Paste your video link: Copy the URL from YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, or Facebook
- 2. AI extracts the recipe: Our AI analyzes the video transcript or audio to identify ingredients and cooking steps
- 3. Get your recipe: Receive a beautifully formatted recipe with organized ingredients and step-by-step instructions in under 10 seconds
We support all major video platforms including YouTube, Instagram (posts and reels), TikTok, and Facebook. The free plan supports YouTube videos only, while Home Cook and Chef plans support all platforms.
Most videos are converted into complete recipes in under 10 seconds! The exact time depends on the video length and whether transcripts are available. Videos with existing transcripts are typically faster than those requiring audio transcription.
Cooking videos with clear audio narration of the recipe steps work best. Videos that only contain music or background noise without spoken instructions can't be converted into recipes. Videos where the chef explains ingredients and steps while cooking provide the most accurate results.
Our system automatically detects cooking-related content, but occasionally videos may be misclassified. If this happens, please contact us with the video URL and we'll look into it right away.
This usually happens when a video lacks audio narration or available subtitles. Make sure your video includes spoken instructions describing the cooking process. If the error persists despite having proper audio, reach out to us with the video URL and we'll investigate.
We're here to help! Feel free to contact us with any questions or issues and we'll respond as quickly as possible. Your feedback helps us improve!
